Design at its finest
Thonet & Vander was named after two important figures related to the best early-century design and architecture: Industrial designer Michael Thonet (1871-1976), and Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe (1886-1969), director of the Bauhaus and one the most influential architects of the century.
Each Thonet & Vander design shows a rich legacy of art and technology integration. Its vision and inspiration come from the concept of the Bauhaus design school, which was the first to harmonize innovative and aesthetics with industrial machinery, called modern functionality or international modernity.
In the same way as the first products after the appearance of the Bauhaus, the design in each Thonet & Vander product line moves away from the classic excessive ornamentation found in some contemporary-design trends and combines solid structures with highly-attractive, simple, and functional geometric shapes.
Thonet & Vander drives the integration of all the arts with modern technology, combining them to provide consumer electronics to the contemporary user.
Synonym of innovation, quality, performance, and state of the art. T & V aims for a technological future, playing a leading role in an interconnected society.
